Manarola to Corniglia (via Volastra)

This hike takes 2 hours total from Manarola to Corniglia but if you take the bus from Manarola to Volastra but if you take the bus from Manarola to Volastra (free for Cinque Terre card holders, € 2.50/person for non), it’s 10 minutes + less than 1.5 hours for the hike from Volastra to Corniglia

Suggestions:

Start early – The trail is not always shaded, the path is narrow and will easily get crowded.

The “easiest” way to do this hike will be to take the village bus from Manarola to Volastra. The bus will drop you off in front of the church in Volastra, where you’ll find the trailhead (586).Trail 586 is flat and through the vineyards, then connects to trail 587, which is downhill, through the woods and into Corniglia.

Don’t forget water, hat and sunscreen

Be sure to wear footwear with grip, as trails are uneven.

Go past the parking lot, at the roundabout stay to your right and keep going up. You’ll see the signs for “Volastra”.
