Suggestions:

• If you want to save time, you can take the village bus from Manarola to Volastra (10 minutes and free with the Cinque Terre card).  Be sure to check the bus timetable beforehand as the buses don’t run often.
• On the weekends, there is a bus from Riomaggiore directly to Volastra (one in the morning), but again, be sure to check the schedule.
• As always, wear good shoes, bring sunscreen and a hat.  Start early.

Trailhead if you start from Manarola:

Go past the parking lot, at the roundabout stay to your right and keep going up. You’ll see the signs for “Volastra”.
